What Is Stickman?
Stickman is a free browser action game where you fight as a minimalist stick figure against waves of increasingly dangerous enemies. The game strips away everything non-essential — complex menus, lengthy tutorials, slow introductions — and puts you straight into combat. The core loop is simple: attack, dodge, survive the wave, advance to the next.
The depth comes from the combo chain system. Single attacks deal modest damage, but chaining consecutive hits within the timing window multiplies both damage output and score. Learning to maintain long chains across multiple enemies is what separates Recruit-tier play from Legendary performance.
How to Open the Game
Visit stickman.fr in any browser. The game loads immediately — no app store, no download, no account creation required. On desktop, use the keyboard for movement and attack inputs. On mobile or tablet, tap controls appear automatically and respond to the same timing windows as keyboard inputs.
The level select screen shows your current tier and unlocked stages. Completed levels display your best score and whether you achieved a no-damage clear. Every level is replayable from the start, and there is no energy system or daily play limit.
Your First Five Minutes
Recruit levels are designed to teach the combat system without pressure. Use the first three levels to focus on one thing only: the combo timing window. Land the first attack, wait for the small visual flash, then input the follow-up. That flash is the window — hit it consistently and the chain builds naturally.
Do not try to dodge everything on your first runs. Getting hit occasionally is fine at Recruit difficulty. Instead, concentrate on attack timing and reading the single enemy type present. Once the chain rhythm is instinctive, dodging becomes the natural next focus. Try to progress to Soldier difficulty before your first session ends — it introduces the flanking enemy that forces your attention to split for the first time.
Ready to Play?
Go to the Play page, select Recruit Level 1, and start building your combo sense. The early levels are generous with timing windows, so use them to develop instincts you can rely on when the windows tighten at higher difficulty. Restarts are instant and free — each failed run is information about which enemy pattern caught you out.
